Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy applies to all personal data that WISTA Hellas processes of its members, sponsors and other interested parties. 

If you are a member of WISTA Hellas or provide WISTA Hellas with personal data for any other reason you expressly consent to the processing of your personal data in accordance with this Privacy Policy. 

We advise you to read the Privacy Policy and to keep it for your own administration. 

1. Controller 

The following party is responsible for the processing of personal data: WISTA Hellas, Dragatsi 2, Piraeus, 185 35, Greece. 

The secretary can be contacted via wistahellas@wista.gr. In performing these tasks, the secretary and the members of the Board of Directors also make use of the facilities offered for this purpose, such as secretarial support. 

2. What data does WISTA Hellas process and for what purpose? 

2.1 The following personal data is processed in the context of your membership: 

(a) forename, surname, job title, company name 
(b) address details, postal address 
(c) telephone numbers, email addresses, 
(d) other personal characteristics that may be required for our organisation,

2.2 WISTA Hellas processes the personal data referred to in subsection 2.1 for the following purposes:

(a) your name, address, telephone number and email address are used to contact you regarding membership and termination of membership, to provide the information you have requested or to administer the information obtained from you; 
(b) your name, address telephone number and email are used for sending invitations and information about services and activities of WISTA Hellas and WISTA International; 
(c) your name is used to check that your contribution has been paid.

Email messaging (opt-out):

WISTA Hellas uses your name and email address to send you its email newsletter with information about activities, services and other interesting information about membership of WISTA Hellas. It is always possible to unsubscribe from these mailings using the unsubscribe link at the bottom of the mailing. 

3. Retention Periods 

WISTA Hellas will process and store your personal data for the duration of your membership and up to a maximum of five years after the expiry of this membership. Afterwards, the personal data will be destroyed. 

4. Security measures and processors 

4.1 WISTA Hellas has taken appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your personal data. 

4.2 For the processing of personal data, WISTA Hellas sometimes makes use of the services of third parties, referred to as processors. We have concluded a processor agreement with the processor. 

5. Cookies Policy

We collect the information we mentioned in the previous paragraphs through the use of various technologies, including one called “cookies”. A cookie is a piece of data that a Web site can send to your browser, which may then be stored on your computer as an anonymous tag that identifies your computer but not you. 5.1. Absolutely Necessary Cookies

The absolutely necessary cookies are essential for the proper functioning of the site. Without these, you might not be able to browse and use all the functions of the site and, therefore, without these cookies, we can not offer you an efficient operation of our webs0ite. These cookies do not recognize your individual identity.

5.2. Usability Cookies

The usability cookies store user data that affect heavily the operation of the site and facilitate the user’s next visit to the website. The data can be anonymous, and are not available during the user’s navigation to other sites.

5.3. Statistics Cookies

These cookies collect information about how visitors use the site, for example, what pages they visit frequently and if they are receiving error messages from web pages. These cookies collect aggregated, anonymous information that does not identify any visitor. They are used exclusively to improve the performance of a website.

5.4. Targeting Cookies

These cookies are used to deliver content that best suits you and your interests. It can be used to display targeted advertising / offers, limiting advertising projections or efficiency measuring an advertising campaign. These cookies do not recognize your individual identity.

5.5. Third Party Cookies

On our site we have added functionality provided by other sites (eg social networks) through specific plug-ins (software modules). To run these plugins, cookies are downloaded directly from the service providers to your device without us being able to set the cookies settings. 6. Right of access, deletion, and questions and complaints 

6.1 You can submit a request to access, receive, rectify or delete your personal data via the membership administration of WISTA Hellas. WISTA Hellas will process your request and respond within two months of receiving it. 

6.2 If you wish to object to the continued processing of your personal data as referred to in Article 2, you can also contact the member administration for that purpose. 

6.3 If you have any complaints about how WISTA Hellas processes your personal data or handles your requests, you can contact the secretary.

7. Amendments 

This Privacy Policy is subject to amendment. The amendments will be announced on the Website. We advise you to review the Privacy Policy on a regular basis.
