On December 8, 2025, in Athens, the WISTA Hellas Gala Dinner brought together professionals, leaders, and partners of the shipping industry for an evening defined by meaningful dialogue, genuine connection, and purposeful action. More than a celebration, the event highlighted leadership that serves, collaboration that builds bridges, and initiatives with real impact.
The WISTA Hellas Leadership Award 2025 was presented to Metaxia Psaltis, Chief Operating Officer of Neda Maritime Agency Co. Ltd. and Vice President of INTERCARGO, recognizing a leadership journey grounded in integrity, collaboration, and the continuous empowerment of women in shipping.
Special Recognition Awards were presented by the Chief of the Coast Guard – Hellenic Coast Guard, Vice Admiral Tryfonas Kontizas to officers of the Hellenic Coast Guard, honoring their dedication and invaluable contribution to safeguarding human life at sea:
Lieutenant Anastasia Abraham, for her long-standing contribution to personnel training and the promotion of human rights, and Ensign Athanasia Vrekou, for her outstanding contribution to search and rescue operations and the protection of human life at sea.
